Our main goal for this month was to get the garden growing. A lot of time was spent up in the field preparing the beds, installing a solar electric fence, and planting seeds. Then we realized that there was no close water source, so Mike used the blade on the tractor to create a few ponds just below some springs. We also put much thought into the bathroom and spent a day clearing out all of the organic material along the side of the house. Once we realized that we weren't quite ready to start on the bathroom, Mike turned his focus to using the materials we have on hand. So, he put insulation in the den and put blocking up in the den and the livingroom. He also installed a stud wall in the master bedroom.

Here's the garden with seeds planted, just waiting to grow. This was probably taken around mid-May.

This is the blocking in the den that will help when installing the drywall

Blocking in the livingroom.

Here's the pond Mike dug w/ the blade, we think it's about a foot deep in the center, but the tadpoles seem to like it.

Here's the garden at the end of the month, the other pond is at the far side of the garden and is currently dried up.
