I guess finishing the house isn't enough of a project for my hubby. He found a crawler in fairly good shape for a decent price. It just needs a little work on the clutches so that he can actually turn the monster. So, he started off the month by picking a bulldozer and working on it a little. He also put red guard, a waterproofing compound, on the cement board in the shower. I stained and sealed the grout for the bathroom tile and hemmed up some curtains. Mike finished up the trim in the baby room and guest room, and started trimming out the master bedroom. He also created a door jam and worked on hanging doors.

Here's the dozer in all her glory.

She runs but only forward and backward, no corners just yet.

In order to fix this beast so that she'll turn, Mike had to get the tracks off so that he can get to the clutches.

Mike painted on a compound called "Red guard". It's a waterproofing membrane.

Same view, but notice the really light grout lines around our floor tiles...I'll fix that a little later.

Here's the shower all painted with Red Guard and looking mighty bloody.

The floor didn't get painted because we are already using a waterproofing membrane. It's the plastic that's underneath this top coat of cement.

Here's the grout line again but with one coat of tile stain/sealer. Looks much nicer this way!

Another project of mine was to hem up the curtains in the bathroom, so far I have one done.

Mike installed the quarter round in the baby room.

He also finished up the trim in the guest bedroom. Here he's just finished painting.

Another look at the trim detail around the closet door.

Mike had to build a new jamb for the door, here he's laying it all out.

He created the notch in the door for the hinge.

The second hinge notch.

Then he notched out the sides to attach them to the top.

Here's the door and the jamb.

He added some bracing and it's pretty much ready to install.

Mike started working on the trim in the master bedroom.

He's also trimmed out the attic stairs so they actually look nice now.
