So much happened this month. We finished up in the workshop. The AC contractors were at work, Mike was hanging drywall and finishing drywall. Kitchen cabinets arrived. Mom & Dad B. came to lend a hand building storage in the basement and sanding & painting the drywall.

Mike wired the workshop, to prep for drywall.

Many sheets of drywall arrived, along with a driver, but no crew to unload it...just Mike and the poor driver.

Mike hung the drywall in the workshop first, then mudded it and I helped by sanding.

Mike's folks primed the walls and then it was ready for storage.

Future beer fridge site, but storage in the mean time.

A nice workbend for Mike.

Ah, the cramped kitchen/dining room. It made such a large living room feel so tiny.

The armoire became my pantry and I had a few countertops.

The old kitchen cabinets were still in use, and of course we needed our coffee!

Thanks to our good ole buddy Brian, Mike was able to hang the ceiling all on his own.

He worked around the AC guys and installed drywall on the soffits.

Then he took a step back and admired his work :)

A look at one of our can lights by the AC ducts.

main ducts coming down from the attic through the hall closet.

Ducts in the attic.

The Airhandler...its massive!

One of the ceiling ducts upstairs.

Just when you think you can start hangin drywall, the cabinets arrive...much earlier than expected!

The cabinets stacked in the kitchen.

A photo of our wall between the mud room and the dining room...this is a main artery of our house for both electric and water.

Oh, yeah...did I tell you that Mike likes to admire his work?

:)

The old kitchen window...Spring was its best time, that's when the daffodils were visible...otherwise, it was just a hillside and some dirt.

The walls were hung and the corner bead was added to the soffit. It's coming together.

After being unloaded to the dining room & kitchen, poor Mike then moved them to the workshop so that he had some space to work.

Mike's dad helped to build a bench for storage in the basement.

Which was quickly filled up.

The achievers!

We've been walking across this threshold for at least a year and this month it was finally filled!

Here's Mike mudding the kitchen and dining room.

Mom & Dad helped sand in between coats.

Poor Grace was teething and not sleeping during nap time, so I grabbed her up and she fell asleep with us on the bed...the first time in quite a while.

Grandma and Grace were playing...here's Grace in my hat playing with a ribbon.
