Well, another month has passed and somehow we are still hanging drywall! We did accomplish quite a lot this month though. Mike got all of the trim installed in the guest bathroom and it's now finished. Drywall was hung on all of the upstairs exterior walls. Mike also framed out all of the closets and wired them. While Mike was working on wiring in the attic I installed insulation to help keep our heat from escaping.

All of our trim boards are preped with a coat of paint.

Mike measured them out and then cut them to fit.

Here they are installed. The next step was to fill in the holes and gaps with caulk.

I mudded some spots in the bathroom that were bothering us before the final coat of paint.

Here it is all finished with hardware installed and everything.

Our next step was to finish hanging drywall on the exterior walls. Here's the master bedroom.

Here's a look into the guest bedroom from the master bedroom.

Here's a giant stack of drywall in the guest bedroom. It's gonna be a while till we see the end of that stack!

Here's the guest bedroom again with a stack of regular drywall and green board.

Our buddy Dan came over and helped Mike hang some drywall in the master bedroom.

Before we could hang anymore drywall, Mike had to do some framing.

Here's the stairwell/master bedroom wall.

First, we framed out the master bedroom closet.

Once the framing was in we did a little more drywalling.

Here's the closet in progress. That's Mike cutting out the drywall over the door.

Next, we turned out attention to the master bathroom closet. Here's Mike laying out a wall.

Here's the angle stud wall in place with the next wall getting nailed together.

Here's Mike nailing the studs to the header.

The stud wall is in place and Mike's cutting out the door threshold.

The guest bedroom closet all framed out. See the nice floor peeking out from under the protective craft paper.

Here's the framing as you walk into the guest bedroom.

Now that the framing is in, we can get back to the drywalling. Here's the master bath closet.

Here's the inside of the master bath closet.

Mike is creating an angled stud so that there is something to screw the drywall to.

Here's a closer look at the angled stud.

We finished haning the drywall in the spare room, what used to be the "plastic room."

Here's a good look at the seams.

Before going too far with the drywall, Mike had to wire the closets. Here's the wiring in the attic.

While Mike was wiring I started insulating between the rafters.

Our attic with some insulation.

Every so often, it's good to just sit back and admire the work that you've accomplished.

After hangin the drywall in the spare room, we turned it into a mini shop.

A little more wiring needs to be done in the guest room before we can finish the drywall.
