The beginning of the month started and we still had no heat in the house. Mike and I were using a little space heater to get by which was fine, except one night it got down to 50 degrees in the house. Luckily that was the night before the heat was turned on. We manged to get pex installed in the dining room floor and Mike did an excellent job plumbing the whole system. We did a bunch of insulating this month, had Thanksgiving dinner "between the studs" and even manged to get the bathroom nearly finished. It was another crazy, project-filled month. You just can't relax when the heat is not hooked up or when the bathroom is all torn apart.

Mike and I installed the pex tubing under the dining room. This is something I am not very good at and Mike nearly did it all by himself, but we managed to work through it together and get it finished.

Here's some of Mike's fancy plumbing that hooks up our hot water heater to the pex running through the floors.

Another shot of his plumbing.

Yet another shot of the plumbing. What can I say...I am soooo happy to have heat!

We needed to insulate first floor so that the basement wouldn't zap all of the heat. Here's a shot of the radiant barrier on top of the pink fiberglass insulation.

Here's our basement ceiling all insulated. Mike and I did one half early on in the month. Then, Sue and I did the other half during their Thanksgiving week visit.

I insulated the exterior wall in the dining room early in the month. Then Ron & Sue insulated the top of the wall because of the way the wall meets the porch roof.

Here's our master bathroom. Ron and Sue started the job, then Sue and I finished it. I don't remember what Ron was up to at the moment, but I am sure he was distracted by another pressing project.

Here's Mike with the bathroom walls all mudded. We managed to squeze a lot of jobs into the week Ron & Sue were here. Thanks guys! I hope we say this enough...you know we love you and couldn't do so much without you!

Here's Ron grouting the tile in the spare bathroom.

"The peanut gallery"

The floor is starting to come together!

Since Stacy and Eric were on their way we decided it would be good to have a toilet. Because the corners were still a little damp, we just sanded behind the toilet and Sue primed and painted.

Here's the toilet installed. We managed to make it from Sunday afternoon through Wednesday evening without a toilet. Let's just say we had several outings to Lowes and Target.

Here's the Thanksgiving day decorations. It was lovely! Thanks so much to Sue, Eric and Stacy. I couldn't have pulled it all off without you guys!

While the bathroom was being finished we did a little reorganizing. We moved everything out of the plastic room and Ron even tore out a stud wall.

Mike and Ron moved the vanity into place in the bathroom. Yippee! Finally we'll have a sink.

Here's the sink top installed.

How wonderful.

This was a pretty great moment. A bathroom once again. Now all we need is trim, a fan, lights, electricity, accessories and a door!

The happy family! I hope this wasn't too stressful on everyone. It's pretty rough to do a remodel on such an important room. I am sure the next worse thing will be the kitchen redo.
