This month our major undertaking was jacking the first floor to level out the two inch drop in our den. This gap was created from the renovation that occurred in the mid-1900s when the owners added a basement and left a load-bearing wall joist with no support. Mike and his dad worked together to jack up several floor joists and built a supporting wall.
