Still chugging along trying to get things finished up before the baby becomes too mobile. Mike installed the bathroom hardware. He finished moving everything from the living room to the mudroom. His folks came for a week and helped enclose the back porch, now the woodshop. They also helped insulate, make thresholds, tile the shower and hang drywall. After they left Mike worked on finishing the drywall in the living room and the stairwell.

This is the living room, what used to be the shop. Emptying this room proved to be a very big job.

Only a few things left to move.

This is our mud/laundry room. It's now become storage for all of the shop tools that used to reside in the living room.

This is the old shelf that used to be part of the closet in the guest bedroom.

More storage.

Here's one of the thresholds that Ron made. Sue was in charge of baby sitting, but did manage to get a little staining done too.

Here are all of the thresholds that Sue finished.

This back porch was in a weird spot, not some place to hang out. So, we closed it in. In the future we hope to make it into the only bathroom on the first floor, but for now it's going to be the wood shop.

Mike and Ron are putting the stud wall together here before putting it in place.

Here's Mike measuring for the new stud wall.

Ron and Sue are installing the studs.

Here's one of the stud wall all in place.

A look from the inside. The stud walls are covered with plywood.

Then a aluminum flashing was installed around the base and it was wrapped in paper, maybe tar paper...I don't know.

Here's Ron working in the wood shop. The walls were insulated by Ron & Sue while they were helping.

Ron installed the floor in our shower.

He also helped with the walls. Here he is outfitting in a trash bag to keep him dry while he cut the tiles with a tile saw.

Here's Mike installing the accent tiles.

The last photo taken just before the folks left. We didn't get all of the jobs done, but we sure did make some great progress. Thanks Mom & Dad!

This is the foil going up on the ceiling to help reflect all of the heat up to the bedroom.

Here's Mike using his new noise cancelling headphones while hanging drywall over the foil using Brians great drywall lift.

Drywall is going up in the living room!

More shots of hanging drywall.

Here's a little box that Mike's dad made so there was some wood to attach the drywall to.

A room is taking shape.

Mike hard at work.

This is really looking great!

I can't wait to move into our living room!

What a treat it will be to relax in our room and let Grace crawl around on the floor.

After the folks left, Mike got to work finishing the drywall.

Here's how he managed to finish the seams in the stairwell.

He built a platform with joist hangers.

A piece of plywood was set on top to act as a floor.

The whole thing could be disassembled so that we could still get upstairs in between mudding, sanding and painting.

Here you can see the two stingers used to hang the joists off of.

Here's Mike in action.

Would any month be complete w/o a picture of Grace?

How about 3 pictures?

What a cutie! Here she is in her baby legs that Aunty Em bought for her and a turtle onsie that Aunt Stacy bought.
